Meeting Frank Turner And The Sleeping Souls
After the Frank Turner gig (Recap can be see here) had finished and I'd got my tour tee, wouldn't be without would I!
We went round the back to by the stage doors and tour buses. A lot of other fans had the same idea. The Sleeping Souls came out one by one and chatted, took photo's with and signed things for everyone. It's so nice seeing how down to earth these guys are. Ben (Guitarist) chatted to us the longest and was telling us they are going into the studio after the tour.
We almost missed meeting Matt but Ben went to get him from the tour bus for us then waved us down to by the door. Matt asked where we were from and seemed shocked we'd travelled 3 hours for the gig. Seriously nice guys.
It wasn't long after Frank came out. He seemed to shocked and humbled at how many people wanted to meet him. Everyone formed a queue, it took about twenty minutes for us to get to the front.
He shook our hands and asked our names as he always signs stuff ''To.... from Frank Turner''. When I said Kat, he asked ''with a K or a C?' as he did at Sonisphere. He laughed when I told him that he said exactly the same at the festival and said ''can't be getting it wrong now can I?!'
Finally I actually plucked up a bit of courage to tell him how his music inspires me and helps me. He looked so grateful then gave me a hug and said 'Thank you so much, it means a lot knowing my music that I've just written sat at home on an acoustic means so much to people like you''
Such a nice guy.
I asked if he could record a birthday message for my friend as well, he was happy too. As I said such a nice guy!
